Just imagine your wedding being held on the beach in Negril right next to the turquoise-blue Caribbean Sea with a breath-taking backdrop of tropical flowers and foliage – aaah! A wedding-day dream come true!
If you prefer a religious ceremony, Negril has a wide variety of churches of different religious denominations within minutes of Firefly, (Anglican, Episcopalian, Roman Catholic, United New Testament Church of God, Apostolic and Seventh Day Adventist). The wedding ceremony may be held at any one of these churches (again, all arrangements will be handled by a Firefly Wedding Coordinator). Religious services may have additional or special requirements and fees.
Our Wedding Coordinator will ensure the Bride and Groom's wishes are met with no concern or effort on their part. All details are handled for the couple beginning with the necessary legal documents, Minister and witnesses if required, room accommodations, catering selections, flowers, photographers, make-up artists and stylists, color-specific decorations and music. Additional requests are readily met -- no request is too great.
Wedding packages are available and range from 'intimate' to 'elegance.' Fees vary depending on the package and the time of year. For larger weddings, especially where entertainment or a DJ is part of the reception, Firefly does require the hotel be at least half occupied by wedding guests for a minimum of 3 days. This policy provides for the privacy and solitude of Firefly guests.
Also, a selection of catering options from our Restaurant & Bar is available and can be tailored to your specific needs. Depending on the size of the reception, our dining options range from sit-down for smaller weddings to buffet service for larger groups (24-50+ persons). Cocktail options are a Cash Bar, Packages or Open Bar.
Music and entertainment can also be provided by our Wedding Coordinator. Negril is known for its variety of quality performers ranging from Reggae to Jazz bands, Steel Drums, DJ's and String Quartets. Fees for entertainment are additional and depend upon the type of music, group chosen and length of performance.
Rental of special tables and chairs and linens are also available.
Both Bride and Groom will need a copy of their Birth Certificate and a copy of their Divorce Decree(s), if any. These documents need to be in Jamaica at Firefly Beach Cottages at least 14 days prior to your arrival and the wedding couple must be in Jamaica at least 24 hours prior to the ceremony.

After we receive your specific wedding and reception requirements (alternate date(s) would be appreciated), we will prepare and send to you our Wedding Proposal and DRAFT Contract for your approval.
